Plantation shutters designed, manufactured and fitted locally — in durable PVC, engineered by tradespeople who understand what our sun, heat and salt air actually do to a window over time.
Before New Look Shutters existed, Paul spent 25 years as a carpenter, including spending the majority of his career as a foreman and carpenter on multi-million dollar residential renovations in exclusive suburbs across Sydney and Perth. That kind of work doesn't tolerate a window fitting that warps in summer or a frame that isn't square.
He has brought that same high standard and years of hands-on experience into a business built around one job done properly, rather than one trade spread thin across everything else. Every shutter we install is PVC, chosen for its resistance to Perth's sun, heat and coastal air.
Shutters manufactured interstate or overseas are built to a generic spec. Ours are built around what a Perth summer, a Fremantle Doctor and a west-facing window actually do to PVC and hardware over ten years — because we're the ones who have to stand behind them locally.
WA manufacturing also means supporting local manufacturing and skilled WA trades, strengthening our local economy, and delivering a superior product without compromise.
Perth gets some of the harshest UV exposure in the country. We use a UV-stabilised PVC compound chosen for that — not a generic profile built for a milder climate somewhere else.
Big daily temperature swings are hard on timber shutters. PVC doesn't warp, crack, rot or peel the way timber can — so louvres stay true and true-fitting for the long run.
Salt air corrodes cheap fittings fast. We select hinges, tilt rods and clips rated for coastal Perth suburbs, not just what's cheapest to import.
Manufacturing in Perth means shorter lead times, tighter quality control, and a local workshop if something needs adjusting.
A free in-home consult by a qualified carpenter to measure every window, talk sizes, frame style and finish, and quote a fixed price.
Your shutters are built to spec in our local workshop, with the founder checking tolerances the way he would on a client build.
Fitted by carpenters, not sales reps — square, level, and finished properly around architraves and reveals.
Hardware and hinges are checked and adjusted where needed — a phone call away if anything moves after the first hot summer.
Every style below is built in-house in Perth from durable PVC, and finished to match the room, not just the window.
Durable PVC, floor-to-ceiling coverage for maximum light control and street privacy — without the upkeep timber demands.
Bi-fold or bypass panels engineered for wide openings and sliding doors, without losing access.
The same moisture and mould resistant PVC used throughout our range, sealed and finished specifically for wet rooms.
Because everything is built locally, we cover Perth metro end to end — from the coastal suburbs that take the brunt of the salt air, through to the eastern and southern hills. Get in touch — we service most of greater Perth.
"You could tell whoever fitted these actually knew what they were doing — not just installing a kit."
Alice — Two Rocks
"Turnaround was quicker than the big franchise quote we got, and the fit around our reveals was noticeably tighter."
